Digging In

I’m Daniella, you can call me Nell. I’m a mid-career comms professional living and working in north east Ohio. I’ve worked in agencies, at tech start ups and global SaaS enterprise organizations. I have a degree in nonprofit administration, am really good at skee-ball and get super into thinking through how to take a message and make sure it lands.

I think my superpower is two-fold:
Seeing the big picture and how things connect. Whether looking at content strategy or crisis unfolding, being able to see how every word, action and person involved creates the full story ensures messaging direction that lands.

A critical function of a solid comms strategy is relationship building. I’m pretty good at getting to know folks so I can understand their motivations and needs. I can take a room full of C-suite execs and help them find consensus just as easily as I can lead a focus group to gather boots on the ground insights. People are my passion.

I’ve written op-eds for executives that have appeared in Forbes, Fortune, HR Daily Advisor and others. I’ve led content teams at an agency that specialized in nonprofit, healthcare and legal clients. I’ve re-written entire websites, produced live company updates that streamed across 7 offices on three continents. I’ve rolled silverware at a $5,000 a plate fundraising gala, then staffed the red carpet.

You bet. For vague, high-level insights on my work check this out. For specifics, email me and I’m happy to share reports, metrics and examples with more detail.

Great question. I’m always looking to grow in my career, both in my full-time day-job roles and as a freelance strategist and fractional comms leader. Reach out with details about opportunities on my contact page and I’ll set time to chat!
